Hoping to give her hand crafted Christmas ornaments the spotlight they deserve, Heidi (Ginna Claire) tries and fails to again earn a booth at a German Christmas market. With ancestral ties to Germany, Heidi wants to see the country as her beloved grandmother does, but also to sell her ornaments in a place that inspires them.

In only her second feature role, Ginna Claire leads the cast. The leading man additionally is more of a newcomer and is good. The actor, according to his page, is German so he’s playing in a role that’s perfect for him. This title even made my mother comment on this leading pair because she did like them together.
The hallmarks you love to see in these Christmas flick movies are all present and accounted for. There’s importance put on family and pretty Christmas festivities, plus hints of a romance. The continuing post office bit is comical too. What I appreciate most is that the end does allow for any “definitive” end, meaning you can decide how it would go. It’s more of a beginning than an ending which is smart given that the characters are getting to know one another. The story of A Heidelberg Holiday is sweet and fans of the network will enjoy this trip overseas.
