IF YOU LIKE ‘THE WAY HOME,’ TRY THESE FIVE SHOWS. Looking at five shows you may enjoy if you like #TheWayHome. #Hallmark #KatandElliot #Romance Share on XThe plot of The Way Home picks up where its first season dropped off. Kat Landry still determines to uncover the mystery surrounding the disappearance of her brother, which is why she uses her family’s pond to travel into the past. This complicates her relationship with her mother Del, and her best friend Elliot. Then there is her teenage daughter, Alice, who is the one to reveal the family time travelling gene, but is now unable to travel. Or so it would seem. In a nutshell, that’s the concept of Hallmark’s The Way Home.
We collected a few titles you may enjoy if you cannot get enough of this story. Before we share those, since the Internet takes things seriously or likes to rage about the craziest of things in a social post, we’re adding a list disclaimer to say this. These shows aren’t the same of course. (Which we don’t want if we’re looking for unique TV shows.) They don’t have the same types of connections or the same “plot,” but they do have some form of time travel, that’s what we tried to find in our research. The goal here is to share some similar stories, but mainly just to have fun. Now that we said that, let’s discover more about the titles on this list. shows to try if you like the way home
SHOWS TO TRY IF YOU LIKE THE WAY HOME
BEING ERICA
This follows the story of a woman who, unsure of the course of her life now, is given a chance to revisit key moments and memories of her past. What she learns doesn’t always heal, but sometimes helps in her present. I watched some of these and did find them interesting.
Stream the show on Hulu, Plex or Roku at publication; or find to purchase in app
EARLY EDITION
This 90s dramedy doesn’t have traditional time travel, but it does have a form of that with a main protagonist who receives the newspaper a day I advance. In that way, it’s about someone seeing the future, and trying to help the people he learns about through this newspaper.
Find to purchase on DVD; or check for possible episodes on YouTube
FREQUENCY
While quite different than The Way Home, this one I added because of its main character bond. A detective drama, this one has as strong character connection between its female lead who lives in the present, and her father who is living in 1996, and the unexpected ability they have to speak to each other decades apart.
Stream the show through in-app purchases
TIME AFTER TIME
Follows H.G. Wells and his time travel machine. This one featured Josh Bowman in a show that didn’t have staying power. shows to try if you like the way home

They’re different than “The Way Home,” but still have that time travel-esque theme. I hope you enjoy them if you do see any. :)
