UNTIL OUR TIME COMES BOOK REVIEW
REVIEW: A debut novel, Until Our Time Comes spans multiple years and is inspired by actual factual events. On a whim I decided to sign up to review a copy because I’d so enjoyed WWII novels by another author. The novel is fine but probably not anything I’ll remember.
The story keeps apart the lovers for the majority of the page count and also is far too similar to a novel I read recently. Reading a debut novel is always something I find interesting because it introduces me to a new novelist and possibility of a new author to add to my lineup of favorites. Some of the story just doesn’t work for me though I don’t think the writing is bad or there’s holes in the plot. I just don’t love the direction the story takes and I think my mind, even if unintentionally, keeps drifting back to other comparative novels.
If you enjoy stories about headstrong heroines and the period, Until Our Time Comes is something you’re likely to enjoy. Plus it’s an opportunity to discover a new author.

Content: There isn’t much to note in this one outside of some mentions of weapons and there’s one or two instances of a woman being assaulted. It’s not terribly graphic but is a tense scene.
Sincere thanks to the publisher, Revell, for a review copy of this novel. All opinions in this review are my own.
