Netflix has another seasonal film coming, this time with Minka Kelly starring in Champagne Problems. The film will follow Kelly’s character sent to acquire a champagne company, only for the deal to have problems when she falls for a stranger, who happens to be the son of the founder.
If you enjoy British shows from the likes of Acorn TV, you may be glad to know that the streamer has renewed Harry Wild. This one in particular is actually set in Dublin where production for a fourth season is underway. The series features Jane Seymour in the titular role.
If you watched My Lady Jane (we had opinions) then you may love to know that its leading lady, Emily Bader, is partnering with Netflix for People We Meet on Vacation. The film is, of course, based on the popular Emily Henry novel. Tom Blyth will co-star in this, the first of Henry’s novels to go into production. pop culture news one hundred and forty-nine

It’s not a story that holds interest for me, but if you watch it, Carrie Underwood is replacing the departing Katy Perry as a judge on American Idol. Seems full circle I suppose since that’s where Underwood received her start. What do you think of this new addition?
The Olympics have pretty much been dominating the headlines. From Katie Ledecky winning medals in the pool to Simone Biles winning (twice) medals, the headlines have been heavy with the games. I haven’t, much to my surprise, watched any events but I do see the medal counts here and there. It’s also fun to see U.S. athletes do well, though aside from Katie and Simone, I’m not sure I’ve seen many of this Olympic team compete before.
