POP CULTURE NEWS 169: ALL ABOUT NETFLIX THIS WEEK!✨ Talking all the #Netflix shows and upcoming seasons to come. #SweetMagnolias #Superman #VirginRiver Share on XThis week we also shared all the news-y things we know about The Way Home season two.
Since it released its sixth season, the fan favorite soapy drama, Virgin River, is getting lots of hype for this season. Netflix has put lots of things out there in the editorial and social media sphere including behind-the-scenes things or news that a season seven will be coming. Teasing the next chapter, its showrunner Patrick Sean Smith says, “There’s a lot more to go here with these characters,” he also goes on to say, “I can’t imagine creating a scenario where you think Mel and Jack are going to break up. It forces you to dig a little bit deeper into, well, what other issues can they have in their relationship? Especially when you want to keep it through the romance lens.” There is no date for release yet (season six did just drop, so…), but we’ll share about it at a future day I’m sure. What do you think about Virgin River?

Speaking of Netflix and another of their small town favorites, the fourth season of Sweet Magnolias (which follows three best girlfriends) will drop on February 6th. The show will take place from autumn (Halloween) to winter (Christmas). Netflix has released more information about this upcoming season, too. Like almost any fan, I have to say, its tease and synopsis has me nervous! More Netflix news is trending as a trailer has dropped for season two of the teen drama XO, Kitty. The show is a spin off of the movie trilogy To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, which chronicles the life of Lara Jean Covey. The show follows the adventures of her youngest sister, Kitty and the challenges she faces. The trailer also reveals a fan favorite from the film trilogy making an appearance (are you excited?). According to its teaser poster, the upcoming season will debut January 16th. Note: If it bothers you, this trailer may contain teases of a same-sex crush/relationship given season one did tease this.
