A new trailer for the next Colleen Hoover adaptation dropped this week. The film will adapt Hoover’s novel (of the same name) and it’s trailer synopsis reads, in part, as follows:

“Based on the bestselling book, REGRETTING YOU introduces audiences to Morgan Grant and her daughter Clara as they explore what’s left behind after a devastating accident reveals a shocking betrayal and forces them to confront family secrets, redefine love, and rediscover each other. REGRETTING YOU is a story of growth, resilience, and self-discovery in the aftermath of tragedy…”

The film will star Alison Williams and McKenna Grace and is also directed by the same director as The Fault in our Stars. Do you think this one will have any controversy after that last situation with a Hoover film adaptation?

The September 23 season two premiere of Murder in a Small Town starring Rossif Sutherland and Kristin Kreuk has a trailer. The upcoming Fox sophomore season will also feature Marcia Gay Harden in an important role.

According to the trailer description, the show is “Based on the Edgar Award-winning book series, Murder in a Small Town follows Karl Alberg (Sutherland), who moves to a quiet coastal town to soothe a psyche that has been battered by big-city police work. But this gentle paradise has more than its share of secrets, and Karl will need to call upon all the skills that made him a world-class detective in solving the murders that continue to wash up on his shore.” See the trailer (at the link).

Reports say that Apple TV+ is developing a series, with new characters, that would be inspired by the Nancy Meyers film The Holiday. Meyers isn’t expected to have anything to do with the series. The new production is being described as a “limited series” that will move forward if two lead actresses are booked. The 2006 film featured Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz playing British and American women, respectively, who end up swapping homes for the holidays, both looking for change.

Even more images of stars Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci filming the 2026 Devil Wears Prada 2 have been floating around (and making headlines like crazy) this past week. The film has no official plot yet, but rumor is, the story will center on the dying trends of print publications.

Those same reports also state that though this will now be one app, there will still be options to purchase a monthly (or yearly) subscription to one or the other without having to have both (with the same type of content restrictions depending on your monthly subscription). This is all expected to happen in 2026.
