POP CULTURE NEWS 171: STILL IN A NEWS LULL
Hello, again! Friday brings with it a new round of pop culture stories (or that’s always the hope anyway) and this week we again “round up” the silly and happier stories we saw from this week. Also like last week, there is also next to nil stories to share. Or at least it feels as though there’s nothing. We’re still in that post Christmas bubble of no news I guess. Like any given week, most are probably from the realm of TV shows since those often seem to dominate headlines, but we’ll see if anything else of interest crops up too! pop culture news 171

There is finally a “full” trailer for the upcoming ABC Tim Allen sitcom Shifting Geers. The show will begin next week on the 9th. We’ll also have a “first impression” review, but until then, check out the trailer.
There are more headlines and news about Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni. There’s been more lawsuits filed and Baldoni’s team has said they’ll release “every” text to prove their case and clear their client.
Not pop culture news per se (because as I said, there is next to nothing new to talk about), but Hallmark will be debuting two of its most popular shows this coming weekend. The Way Home debuts on Friday the 3 (today) and will be streaming next day on Hallmark+. Then When Calls the Heart (year 12!) will begin Sunday the fifth. It too will then stream next day on Hallmark+. We wrote about both of these in an “everything we know” list for The Way Home and WCTH.
