‘HEARTS AROUND THE TABLE: JOSH’S THIRD SERVING’ IS MORE CHARM FOR THE THIRD TIME

Coming into movie three in this group, Hearts Around the Table: Josh’s Third Serving is another winner about unexpected teamwork.

Hearts Around the Table: Josh’s Third Serving (2025) TV Film Review

Opinionated and determined for all of his students to flourish, Josh (Jake Epstein) is a teacher how cares. As a result, he is more than a little bit concerned about the funding about to be cut. This primarily means that the after school programs are about to be non-existent. A teacher who is well-liked, Josh finds an unlikely ally (who starts as a little bit of friendly adversaries) in Ella (Stephanie Bennett), a new teacher at his school.

As they work together on fundraising plans and goals, the pair ends up finding a unique friendship that neither of them anticipates.

Like the two prior films before this, Hearts Around the Tables: Josh’s Third Serving gives the titular brother his story while letting us catch up with his siblings. This story has themes of working towards new plans, and finding unique ways to keep creative things in their lives. Jake has appeared in more than one Christmas film, and Stephanie Bennett is also no stranger to these TV romances. So, there is additionally the familiarity of faces leading the cast.

Perhaps not my favorite of the four films, Josh’s Third Serving is still cute and worth seeing. Most especially if you like this series of titles. There’s more importance on family and more characters who do the right thing. Plus, of course, as is true of nearly any Saturday night debut on this network, there is a little romance, too.

Stream, at publication, next day on Hallmark+ or Peacock

Content: this film, as is true of the rest of these films, the TV-G rating has nothing worth noting.
