HIGH PAGE COUNT BOOKS THAT ACTUALLY SCARE (!!) ME

When it comes to books with a high page count, well, these kind of scare me! I remember seeing The Count of Monte Cristo at a store, and was tempted to pick it up because I love the adaptations, but then seeing the page count, well, it promptly went back on the shelf! Needless to say, I’m not a long book reader. I love 320 or so concise stories. Still, I know there are amazing books with high page counts out there, and they too deserve a mention so let’s feature those.

    1. Hope you enjoy Sarah’s if you read it. :) I’ve enjoyed her books a lot through the years. Ideally I’d enjoy Little Women, but the page count is too high.

  1. I love big books and I cannot lie 😂 They don’t scare me but I do have to be in a certain frame of mind to read them and commit to them. I love the first Jane book, but I haven’t read the second and third in the series. I was so sad when Netflix canceled the series.

    1. Yes! I am a “short” book reader. I like a good story, yes, but I also like to be able to feel as if there is an end in sight. Probably because I read so slow already that reading a 500, 600, 700 or larger book means I may “never” get it all read. ;) Hope you enjoy Little Women and GWTW if you read them again!

    1. They do intimidate me, Susan… but I think part of that is because I feel like not finishing a book is a “failure” so it’s daunting to start something, and maybe not like it but have to read all those pages! ;) I would like to try Little Women someday! It seems like a book I’d enjoy. I wonder if the Lady Janies will write another series at some point? My Lady Jane sure was fun!
