‘BLUE SKIES’ FIRST IMPRESSION REVIEW: A GOOD STORY WITH UPTV
An exclusive to the streaming platform UP Faith and Family, Blue Skies, is a police drama that keeps things a bit lighter as this first season gets under way.
Blue Skies (2026) TV Show First Impression Review
Knowing her job and her work is something Jodi Larsen (Scarlet Hunter) is good at, but she has now left the military police. Now, her career change is shifting into a new kind of investigation which leads her home and to work as an investigator for the National Park Police.
This inspires her to feel more at home working in nature and helps her reconnect to a place she once loved.
But challenges arise in her quest to fit in not only with the family she hasn’t seen for years, but also with a new team and a strict superintendent.
TV SHOW REVIEW | ‘WILD CARDS,’ SEASON THREE: A FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE LATEST CASES!
‘BLUE SKIES’ FIRST IMPRESSION REVIEW: A GOOD STORY WITH UPTV. Reviewing #BlueSkies, the show new to streaming with UP Faith and Family. Share on XMaking its debut streaming under the UPtv banner, Blue Skies season one starts off as being interesting. It’s also a show that will likely back some of its stories with some better moral attitudes or faith stories. The show also reminds me of a less intense version of the Netflix show Untamed.
This drama presents us with a competent, expert heroine whose past helps give her a more unique perspective to do the work she does. I don’t think I’ve seen Scarlet Hunter in anything or nothing that puts her in a lead like this, but I like her. What’s more, it’s great fun to see Markian Tarasiuk in this as well, an actor who has featured in some of the cute TV movies we love. The pace isn’t too fast but moves at the right clip and is likely slower because it’s not as intense.

When all is said and done, I did enjoy Blue Skies. I don’t know how it will play out or what is ahead for Jodi, but it’s a good story at the start. It’s also something that, at least from my experience, is quite different for UPtv, so that alone gives this one an extra star!

Stream, at publication, Blue Skies with UP Faith and Family; episode one is available now and will drop new episodes on Thursdays.
Content: this one gets a little emotionally intense, but so far, isn’t graphic or disturbing (and I doubt it will be). The TV-PG show opens on a military mission that may be, for some, a little intense (it really isn’t); someone is shot during this, but far as we know, they are fine. This is only accounting for episode one.
