THE WEEKLY NEWS 195
NCIS: TONY and ZIVA sets PREMIERE
Coming this fall to Paramount+ is the debut of the much buzzed about new drama NCIS: Tony and Ziva. Dropping on Paramount+ September 4th will be Michael Weatherly returning as his original NCIS character (and yes, he was in the show from the first “backdoor” episode on JAG) Tony DiNozzo and Cote De Pablo will be back (who appeared in later NCIS seasons) as Ziva David. The pair, as loyal fans know, had a will-they-or-won’t-they relationship that we did root for but also wondered, will they ever be a thing? Eventually they had a daughter whom Tony left NCIS to raise (at the time believing Ziva had died) but as the press release says, the pair may still be chasing that elusive happy ending even while raising their daughter together.
If you’re wanting not know more, the press information also quotes stars and co executive producers Weatherly and Pablo, “We’re beyond excited to finally share Tony and Ziva’s next chapter with the incredible fans around the world who never stopped believing this day would com. Returning to these roles together on screen after more than a decade has been an unforgettable journey packed with lies, spies, danger, desire…..and self-driving murder cars. (Don’t worry, that last one will make sense soon). This is one wild ride you won’t want to miss, and as they say in Paris: Accrochez-vous bien!”
No official word yet on if this will be a limited series or if eventually the pair and show will get a season two. You can check out the trailer below.

THE WEEKLY NEWS 195: TONY AND ZIVA MAKE A COMEBACK PLUS MORE THINGS ✨ #NCIS #NCISTonyandZiva #TrevorDonovan #LifetimeMovie Share on XLAST THINGS
If you remember way back when we shared this, Trevor Donovan and Danica McKellar’s movie Grounded now has a premiere date. The film, retitled Grounded in Love will debut on Great American Pure Flix (streaming) August 7 and then will air on Great American Family on September 27th.
Prime Video accounted, earlier today, that its July 16th drop of the final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty will give fans two episodes on that July date and then, after this will give fans “a new episode following weekly until the series finale on Wednesday, September 17.” This is straight from the press release.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lifetime will release four films that have faith centering them. The third title will be If I Run, which is the adaptation of Terri Blackstock’s novel of the same title. The film will be co-produced, according to Lifetime via THR, by Kat Graham and will also star her in the role of Casey Cox, playing “a woman on the run after discovering her best friend Brent has been murdered — and she is being framed for it.” Evan Roderick will co-star in If I Run. Chrissy Metz and Alexa PenaVega will also headline other of the network’s “faith based” films, which THR says have become the “rage” since Angel Studio’s produced some unexpected hits.
Lots of new TV dropped this week. We have reviews for most of the “big” or buzzy titles. Some of our new archive reviews include The Buccaneers, Outrageous, and The Waterfront.
