On my Playlist: Some of the Music I’m Loving “On Repeat”

It’s been a minute (or two) since I posted up something about the music I’m loving. Despite this, it doesn’t seem like there’s been many new “repeat for days” kind of songs added to any kind of list. Nonetheless there’s some I can still share, just because (and for fun!). Because music is always a good idea.

LIST | [Five] of the Best things in ‘Elementary’: “Their Last Bow”

Unlike the last publication I shared, this one has a few more upbeat tunes on the list. Or at least I’m hopeful it will. Last go-round is all about the melancholy though somehow I still really like the songs I shared. Let’s see if we can challenge that status quo, just a little bit.

Let’s talk all about music we love.

On my Playlist: Some of the Music I'm Loving “On Repeat.” Sharing some recent (& not-so-recent) repeat (for days!) songs. #Music #FavoriteMusic #TaylorSwift #CoverSongs #CamilaCabello Share on X

1: ‘Reflection,’ Christina Agularia

Not a fan of the artist, but I had to buy the song (originally from the 1998 version of Mulan) because all the nostalgic feels…!

2: “Kelsea” (Album), Kelsea Ballerini

Haven’t listened to much of this new album, but I did enjoy most of the songs off her “Unapologetically” album. Needless to say, I’m eager to hear more.

3: ‘Cardigan’ (Cover), Ali Brustofski

This acoustic cover of Taylor Swift’s ‘Cardigan’ song gives it such a different sound/feel, so it’s fun to listen to. It feels like there’s more of an upbeat tempo so it’s less of a moody song.

4: ‘First Man,’ Camila Cabello

In the way of buying all of her music, I don’t really listen to Cabello’s songs. On a whim I bought this one (and ‘Dream of You’) off her latest album, and aww, this one is too sweet. It chronicles the love a girl has for her dad, even after she finds a good man.

5: ‘Fading Away,’ Lisa Cimorelli

A part of the popular Youtube sister group, Cimorelli, Lisa also releases her own singular singes, and this is one of her latest. I only just snagged this one, but I like it.

6: ‘Humble and Kind,’ Tim McGraw

Yes, I know, this song is quite the “oldie,” but it’s one I still enjoy when it rotates through on the ‘pod. The lyrics are so sweet and charming, but also pack a good message anyone can learn from.

7: ‘Miss You Sometimes,’ Courtney Shields

Pretty sure I included this one on the last list, but I had to re-add it since I still like it. True it’s quite the melancholy song, but it’s (sadly) something we all can relate to.

8 and 9: ‘Invisible String’ and ‘My Tears Ricochet,’ Taylor Swift

Really, if I’m honest, it’s the entire Folklore album I listen to on repeat, but these are two of the songs I repeat (on repeat) more frequently. I think ‘Invisible’ is very underrated, and ‘Tears’ is just one of those ballads Taylor is good at – as has become the lot of each of her track five titles.

10: “Front Porch” (Album), Joy Williams

I used to listen to Joy’s music all the time as a teenager, and long before she became one-half of Civil Wars. Now she’s again on her own in this 2019 album release, and I’m only just now giving it a listen. I haven’t decided if I love the album (so it’s more of a new-music-I’m-listening to over being “on repeat”), but I’m all kinds of curious.

Your turn. Which songs or music are you loving now? Have any recent (or old!) favorites you love to “rock out” to? Comment all of the “music I’m loving” picks you would put on a list. Go!
